This is a long video (10 minutes) of Mama, Dada, Baba and Jita singing “Happy Birthday” to me, eating cake and just having a nice time with me at the dinner table. It’s the very first time I have ever heard anyone sing this to me, and seeing as how I got flowers and a great new “activity center” toy from Dada, got to do a lot of fun things with Mama and also got to have dinner with everyone (Dada is usually gone at work when I eat dinner) it was a great day. I look forward to my next birthday.
When I woke up today, I thought it would be like a regular day, but Mama and Dada were both super happy to see me this morning. They sang to me and were in a very good mood. Thy said they were very proud of how much I have been doing recently, so I decided to give them something I have been working on secretly… I stood up by myself today without using anything for the first time. Mama and Dada were super excited about this, so I did it a few more times today for Baba and Jita.
For Father’s Day we all went out to lunch, and Mommy and Daddy took turns watching me while the other one ate. Daddy let Mommy eat first because he says he is “a gentkeman”. I think it is just because he doesn’t like food as much as Mommy.
After we came home I was excited to play with the grey cat. Mommy & Daddy call him Buju, but I yell “Baba”. Mommy keeps telling me that is her mommy’s name, but I get so excited and have a limited vocabulary, so lots of things get called “Baba” right now. Today it was him. I chased him all around my play area and I love petting him. He acts like he doesn’t like it, but Mommy & Daddy know he is just pretending because he doesn’t run away from me.

I love playing peek-a-boo! I also pooped while I was playing this, so I kept myself entertained while doing something I have to do every day. Fun times!
Recently, I have been pretty good about feeding myself. I especially like omelet and anything with banana in it. Tonight Mommy made me a pumpkin spinach muffin which was really yummy. And then I had some of my favorite snack for dessert, Gerber Graduates - this time it was peach flavor. It was so tasty I kept grabbing handfuls and throwing them all over the place. I even fed Daddy some because he helped me at dessert time. I like feeding other people, because everybody likes feeding me, too!
Recently, I have been crawling! I like crawling to Daddy when he gets home from work and when he wakes up in the morning. He calls himself a zombie in the morning, but it’s OK because I don’t think he will eat my brains. Usually I stay in my play pen area when I am just playing around, and the walls are so tempting for me to try standing and walking that Mommy & Daddy were a little afraid I might not try to crawl. I do prefer walking, but I still have trouble standing without holding on to something, so maybe this crawling thing isn’t so bad after all!
But you better look out when I get hungry, because since Daddy is a zombie sometimes, maybe I am, too! And you look yummy!!!
Hi there… Like I said before, Daddy has been really busy so he hasn’t had the time to update my site for me recently. I went to bed pretty early tonight just so he could do it, and he took a bunch of pictures of me today. I actually was really happy to see the camera, and I kept making funny faces at it.
Daddy has been so busy working recently. I don’t see him as much during the week as I used to in the past, but he does a lot more with me on the weekends. He hasn’t been feeling to weel recently, and he has been very unhappy, so for his birthday - wait… Daddy hasn’t been here forever? - I got him a digital picture frame so he could always have pictures of me to see at work.
I love my Daddy so much. He always makes me laugh. Ganbatte, Daddy!
I’ve had a new crib for a little while now, and I really like it. Mommy & Daddy put some new pads on the other night which will help me not bang my head so hard when I fall down - because I like to walk around in circles all the time inside my crib.
I also got a new playpen which I’ll show you soon. It’s so fun!
Mama did my hair up in pigtails tonight, at dada’s request. Mama thought I was really cute, but dada seemed really excited about it. I like them, but mama says I need hair tues for babies since hers were kind of loose in my hair. I wonder what they will but tomorrow when they go out shopping.
You may have noticed that I now call my parents “mama” and “dada”. This is because that is what I actually call them now when I am talking out loud.
